Julie Hubbard, 44, was stopped by a sheriff's deputy in DeLand, Fla., after making an illegal left turn. According to a sheriff's report, Sgt. George Maddox, who is African American, stopped Hubbard last week, and when he approached the woman, she instantly began abusing the officer with verbal threats. When Hubbard stepped out of her vehicle, she continued to threaten Maddock and steadily banged her head on the divider of the patrol car.

We reported a story about a motorized La-Z-Boy Recliner that was driven by its more-than-tipsy creator, Proctor, Minn., resident Dennis Anderson, 62, as he tried to get home but found himself crashing in to a parked car. Anderson, who admitted to police that he'd consumed nine beers at a local bar before attempting to drive home in his chair, was fined and will serve a jail sentence for his DUI conviction. The story, though, does not end there. When Anderson was arrested, he lost his precious whip after police seized it. According to reports, Proctor police have put the chair up for auction on eBay, with the proceeds going to the police, state and the prosecuting attorney.
