The sleepy town of Saluda, S.C., is abuzz with talk of Lonnie Holloway's funeral.
Holloway was 90 years old, and before he passed away, he made three last requests: He wanted to make sure he'd be buried alongside his wife, who died two years ago, and that his tomb would be his beloved pristine 1973 green Pontiac Catalina.
Oh, yes, I did say Holloway had three last requests. He also wanted to take along his entire gun collection through those pearly gates.
The funeral turned into a spectacle.
Hundreds of folks gathered around to witness the burial, snapping pictures left and right. The pastor from Rock Hill Baptist who conducted the grave site service was just as stunned as the onlookers. "This day will be burned in our memories for years and years to come, because us ain't never seen nothing like this before," the pastor said.
A wrecker who had been contacted by the funeral home a year ago to do the job had to lower the vehicle with a crane to get it in the hole that had been dug up. Holloway's loved ones placed all of his guns in the vehicle's front passenger seat.
Why did Holloway, who was known to be a "stylin and profilin" kind of guy by all who knew him, want to take his guns with him? According to friends, he just didn't want to get them into the wrong hands. The eccentric nonagenarian was also buried with a $100 bill in his pocket. Holloway was a generous man who not only left his church some land to build on but gave his dog the house.

this is absolutely insane!!! i love my pontiac grand prix, but there's no way in hell i wanna get buried in it!!!! what in the hell goes through people's minds sometimes?!?! AND he left his DOG his house?!?! not a family member, a DAMN DOG!!! UGH...this seriously disgusts me!

yep the article sure did say he left the house to the dog...just when you thought you had heard it all. but i don't fault him, i fault the family members that went through w/making these actual plans.
